Bring the Brat Brigade to Your School: Empowering Military Kids Together
Message from the Founder, Kaijah Bell
"As an Air Force brat, I grew up understanding firsthand the unique challenges military children face. We move from base to base, adapt to new schools, new friends, and new environments, all while maintaining a strong sense of pride and resilience. This experience is one that shapes us, teaching us the true power of adaptability and camaraderie. Yet, there is often a lack of spaces where we can connect with others who understand our unique journey.
That's why I founded The Brat Brigade – to create a space where military kids can find community, share their experiences, and feel seen and heard. It’s essential that we provide these young warriors with a space that recognizes their resilience and their ability to face change head-on. We know how to adapt, how to thrive in challenging circumstances, and how to build lifelong friendships no matter where life takes us.
Through The Brat Brigade, I hope to offer a sense of belonging, not just through stories and events, but through meaningful connections that help military children feel supported, empowered, and proud of who they are. We are a community built on the shared experience of service, and together we can cultivate resilience, adaptability, and camaraderie in every child who joins our mission."
